Warrington comic con 2017

My costume for the event (Big Sister
from BioShock 2)
First off warrington comic con is a free event which is amazing however I need to state right now that I didn't get many pictures of the actual things on display since as a cosplayer in a large bulky costume rather than enjoying the day as a spectator everyone enjoyed me as part of the event taking pictures with me. So I didn't get any examples of the things on show myself but I can take a few from the Warrington on comic con website to show you.

So Warrington comic con as quite clearly shown is the comic con event that happens in the town of Warrington England, which is actually my hometown and was just a mile walk for me which in my costume felt like 10 miles.
Picture from Warrington Comic Con Facebook page
So the event is free for all and takes place partly in the Warrington market and partly just outside the market. I feel halving and halving is a good way to get people into the market however it was poorly signed so I noticed people outside of Warrington town came the outside section then got lost in the market as all the props were way back in the market and honestly if you weren't a Warrington local or asked a Warrington local you wouldn't have known the props and things to see were there so you would have missed half the things on display which I noticed several people go home and mutter about the lack of things to see simply because they didn't know there was more at the back of the market.

So besides the issue of locating things how are displays, pretty good for a free event. I liken it to Wigan comic con which charges you, however, this is free so honestly, you can't complain (if you can locate the back of the market. haha.) On display was a superhero meet and greet with a Batman symbol replica and a life-sized Batman sculpture, also on display was a speed bike Starwars replica that you could have pictures were taken near, a hired doctor who cosplayer Tardisardis replica, some robotic Daleks and other replicas sculptures of doctor who creatures/beings, a transformer hired cosplayer and a car painted too look like lighting MacQueen from the movie cars, as well as a stargate replica and a few other things but I couldn't walk around to some things due to my large costume.
Picture with a little sister cosplayer at the event
(uncredited, cannot find the other cosplayers name)

There was also a performance from boogie storm a Britains got talent dance group that dance in storm trooper costumes, although I noticed they were largely passed by as people thought they were just people in storm trooper costumes, not the actual boogie storm, I feel if they had their own marked up tent to hang out in where people could take pictures then more would flock to them realising they were just any old storm trooper cosplayers, also they mainly just stood off to the sides as they had no designated area apart from when they danced so I think next year getting signed tents per act would be a good idea. You're probably thinking I'm really throwing this free event under the bus but honestly the first Warrington comic con was great well laid out, well signed, great performances, great spacing and tonnes of people and with each year it's slowly dropping down I just want to suggest how it could be made as good as the first one again.

Picture with a cat girl cosplayer
at the event, named Elle.
Overall the event was pretty good but I hope it returns to the way it was before in the first year it was on. I also hope the people become abit more respectful I was faced with alot of cosplay abuse, as touring cosplayer this is something I've faced before it's where people take pictures without permission, touch, pull or poke a costume without permission and publish images without tagging the cosplayer. It's very upsetting and rude to us because we put lots of effort into coming in full costume and I was dying of heat in mine yet people were quite rude. One child even broke my helmet while I was sitting to rest as I was too hot and the mother saw, looked at me and walked away... okai then, thanks. Then I had a grow adult snap my leg braces my kicked me as he walked by then looking bad seeing the damage and not apologizing... thanks, alot man. But I shouldn't tarnish so few with the same brush but for everyone 1 person who asked permission too touch my costume or take a picture there was about 4 others who didn't which really lowers my expectations for next years however I will be attending Warrington comic con 2018 in hopes of kinder people and better organisation for those I met who were kind and the child who took pictures with me, thank you as you're the reason cosplayers like do what we do. Thank you and I hope to see more kind people next year.

StylishLaceWigs.co.uk - full lace human hair wig review - 2inch indian remy

Good day my fellow wig lover today I have a very exciting wig review! I have my first full lace and full human hair wig. I'm freaking out at how great this wig is by far my favorite ever I actually want two of it, one to dye another colour and one this natural colour. Anyway I'm rambling! This is a wig review for StylishLaceWigs.co.uk This wig is the 22-inch glueless Indian my natural straight full lace wig in colour 1b. Click here for a link to this exact wig.
Good

This wig has an adjustable cap with two elastic straps. The wigs sold by stylish lace wigs also come in three cap sizes, small, average and large there are instructions during check out to measure your own head and pick a size. I decided to pick average as that's what I usually get for wigs and it turned out to be perfect for me but be sure to check your own sizes and get what fits you. The length of this wig is 22 inches and comes on me being 5ft 5 this wig reaches the top of my hips but this will vary based on your own height.

I did curl this wig so if you want to see how I curled this wig, how I cut the lace off and the movement of this wig check out my video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZOHv2kuKnY This wig has a density of 120 which is considered medium density but honestly I think this is one of the thickest wigs I own and I have everything from damn expensive to very cheap and none of my wigs cut close to this thickness. The wig took me about 45minutes to curl because there was just so much hair! So if this is a medium density wig then I can only but imagine how thick and dense the heavy density wigs must be. I found this wig really easy to style the curl held up very well even after a few days of wear and a brushing through the curls were still in the hair and had only slightly fallen. This wig being human hair has an amazing natural shine too it, very glossy but not overly glossy it looks like a cheap plastic wig as said in my video the shine on this wig is what I see in shampoo adverts truly lovely.
This wig has 4 combs in to help secure the wig in, there's one on each side, one at the front hair line and one at the back hairline. It's honestly so secure and comfortable you could probably do a willow smith hair whip and it wouldn't budge. I shake my hair a bit in the video and it didn't shift or slide away which I adore. I do a lot of cosplaying therefore performing and the amount of embarrassing time my wig has flown across the room... let's not even talk about it. Thankfully with this wig that won't be an issue. I utterly adore this wig I desperately want another from stylishlacewigs.co.uk because not only does it look great, style easily, have a beautiful shine and hold on very securely it's also so comfortable. So very comfortable. I said in my video that this wig feel like a giant head extensions rather than a wig, I am prone to headaches made worse by wigs and only wear my wigs 4/5 hours daily but this wig caused me no issues for a full 12 hour day then again for 6 hours each day in the two days following.

Not only do I want another black one like this but I really want to buy a blonde one for an upcoming cosplay event because these wigs will be perfect for all day wear and performing as stated they stay on well, look great but also the cap construction is full lace so the wig is completely breathable so while I'm performing and sweating all super grossly my head and real hair can breath so I won't return home with ultra gross sweaty hair which is an absolutely life changing thing for me and my costumes. I also just wanted to quick mention while wrapping up this review that the wigs may be pricey for some people so I wanted to just mention that there is a payment wig plan option click here to find out more about that. So that's everything for this review check out the video at:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZOHv2kuKnY  to see this wig worn and check out StylishLaceWigs.co.uk to purchase an amazing wig like this.

REVIEW | Morphe Brushes SET 702 - 12 PIECE EYE-CREDIBLE SET

Hello, everyone! It's time for a mini-review. As in a short summary of a product, I recently purchased and if it's worth it. I want to just say I am not affiliated with morphe! I have no morphe discount code and I paid for these with my own money.  Today that product is the Morphe brushes 12 pieces eye-credible brush set. This set sells for $24.99 USD £19.91. Please be aware if you live outside of the USA and order from morphe brushes you will get a customs charge. I live in the UK and my customs charge was £12.98.

This set includes a mix of synthetic and natural hair fibers. Nt sure why but morphe does seem to like mixing natural and synthetic fibers. In this set the black bristles are synthetic and the ivory bristles are natural goat hair. Morphe is cruelty-free so the goat hair is humanely collected. Personally I always use synthetic brushes as they wash out easier, they pick up a lot of pigment and then release it onto the skin very well as synthetic hairs don't hold onto pigments, however natural fibres such as goat hairs pick up a lot of pigment then hold onto it, so the bristles basically eat up a lot of the color so you end up using more to put it on the lids. I find this set just does that the natural bristles require more color to apply as much and as evenly as the synthetic brushes in the set do. Also, the natural goat hair brushes stain so much and so quickly, I had to alcohol soak the bristles when using highly pigmented colors such as SugarPill cosmetics or kat von d cosmetics. Whether as the synthetic brushes cleaned off really easily with regular brush cleanser. Both types of brushes asides from the amount of pigment you need to pick up work well, if you don't really load up the goat hair ones they tend to be a bit 'skippy' but add enough pigment and they're okai.

The natural goat brushes also tend to shed only 3-4 hairs per brush but the synthetics didn't shed at all, I think it wasn't really shedding more the goat hairs breaking. Not entirely sure but there was hair loss with the goat brushes. For my makeup artist kit I own a Morphe vegan set and I have zero shedding issues and that's all synthetics hair, this is my first natural hair set so this shedding is completely new to me. The natural goat bristles also get quite sharp and scratchy. At first, they're soft but if you're doing a lot of blending after several seconds they feel very sharp and scratchy. The synthetic brushes are super soft always, blend for days and they'll still feel soft.

Overall I recommend this set if you're just getting into makeup or want a few extra brushes however if you have sensitive or delicate eyes I would pass on this set, the goat hair brushes are just a little too harsh on the lids. I highly recommend morphe for synthetic brushes I do hope they bring out an all vegan synthetic 12 pieces eye-credible set because if they do I will buy 4 sets! but for now, make your own mind up on these brushes. I like these brushes however I will be using the synthetic ones in the set the most.

HeaHair - pink front lace wig - Review

For the longest time I've wanted a pale washed out natural looking pink wig and I've now got one! The wig is from HeaHair who sell on amazon click here for a link to the exact wig I have in this review.

The wig I got is called 'pastel pink' it is 24 inches long in a naturally straight style meaning it's not flat and straight it's got a natural straight flow with some volume. It also is a front lace wig with 1.5inches of front lace, it is has a density of  150/180% all of this means you can style and part the wig anywhere you like, I chose the middle as it looked best on me, but go for a side part or a double braid anything you like, this wig will still look natural. The lace on this wig is a natural beige tone although this might not be 100% your skin tone, I being a ghostly white person got away with it just fine however if you have darker or lighter skin once styled/parted use some concealer on the visible lace to blend it with your skin.

I found this wig to be very manageable and easy to work with, the wig didn't knot up or mess up that much. It's made of a high-quality synthetic heat resistant fiber so you can restyle this wig with a heating tool on it's lowest setting. I found this wig to be easy top cut the lace from too, sometimes the lace can be really stiff and when you cut it then it ends up being all jagged because it's so hard to cut or sometimes the lace is low quality and when you cut the first snip into it the entire thing rips all wrong. This wig cuts wonderfully and you can create any hairline you require. I cut mine back about 0.5 extra on the sides compared to the top front section just because of my own head shape. After it was all cut and brushed I put on the wig cap that came with the wig, adjusted the inner wig adjusting straps to my head size and fitted it...and it was perfect. I require no spirit gum or front lace wig glue strips. This wig works fantastically as a glueless lace front wig.

This wig has excellent selfies quality, yeah that's actually a thing people ask me about, in short this wig has a natural shine and doesn't have a huge white flash back under studio lights or a camera flash, so selfie away. I think this wig is a perfect edition to my collection. With Heahair growing as a company selling more and more wigs as there company grows I will no doubt be getting more wigs from them in the future because this one is just wonderful!  So that's all for this review. Click here to buy this wig.

CollarCollar.com review - tail , choker and box

Hello everyone today is a choker review from a store that began on etsy.com called CollarCollar which is now so popular it's now got its own site CollarCollar.com. This store sells the most adorable vegan chokers (as well as versions for pets, still in the works so not many yet but will be in the future.) The store also sells cosplay wigs, cute storage boxes, and cosplay tails.

I got three things; a cosplay cat tail, a cute storage box with my nickname on and one of the stores best sellers the unicorn choker. First I'll talk about the packaging. I got all these items in a lovely box which isn't the typical store packaging this was an extra purchase. So I'll first talk about the insides of it, as that's consistent with the packaging for this store, I know this from reading reviews on Etsy (reminder no longer on Etsy the store is collarcollar.com) so I know this isn't a new thing or something she did just for me. The inside of the box/packaging had multiple colors of tissue paper to protect the items and the end bottom of the packaging was a little baggy of sweets! I know from reviews some people get sweets and a lucky penny (a British one pence) now I believe from research this is for non-British customers who might never have seen a British penny. The sweets are mixed between vegan and nonvegan I am vegetarian myself so the ones with gelatine in I gave my mother. I am also classing this as part the packaging, if you order a choker or pet collar you get a little free Baggie of lots of extra charms which isn't told to you so it's a surprise which I'm going to add in the packaging section of this review as it's an extra.

Next is the star of the show in this review, the store's best-selling unicorn choker. The unicorn choker is a best seller but not for long, it's limited edition. It's limited edition because collarcollar.com had an artist in Sweden make the unicorn horns and there's only a limited supply. So if you like it then grab it now. The choker is made from vegan leather and is handcrafted to contain multicolored gemstones on it and clear gem studs. The choker closes via a buckle and loop closure. Which makes it adjustable to most sizes and if you like a certain adjustment you can cut off the remaining end if you like but I like to keep it on just in case I ever change weight and need to adjust the size. The choker is very lightweight on the neck and not very noticeable when worn. The unicorn horn is made from Fimo clay so is also very light weight and sturdy, I expected it's pointed shape to be a discomfort on my neck but it dangles no more noticeable than a regular dangling necklace. Also, it's changeable to any of the extra charms you get in the back. I swapped it out for a large heart shaped locket for a few images to match a different style of clothing I was wearing you could even take the charm off altogether and just had it as the choker band, the choice is yours and with so many extra charms in given there's a lot of variety to mix and match with different outfits.

The tail is a 12-inch pink faux fur tail. The tail has a choice of fixings if you just message the store then the lovely owner can help you best pick out the fitting that's right for you, for me I had two large safety pins. The safety pins of whatever fixing you get are covered by a medium sized now with long trails to it. The bow is secured in a bow by stitching and is secured to the tail via stitching. The color of the bow matches the tails so if you get the white or red one they will have bows of the same color as standard however you can request to have a tail without a bow or in another color the store owner is very accommodating to different people's styles so don't worry about asking her anything. The tail is made of faux fur with tends to sometimes look a bit off, however, this fur was very nice, the pile (fur length) was nice and long, it shines with a natural healthy 'life like' shine and it felt very soft. I do believe the fur is acrylic so this may sound strange but some people do it, don't use your heated hair styling tools on it, you will melt the fibers into a plastic mess. The tail is neither too long or too short it's great for cosplay as at events if it's too short people often say 'Ouh I didn't even notice your tail' you feel a bit insulted or its so big everyone notices it and pulls on it, usually damaging it. This tail is the perfect convention length to be noticed but not over noticed. On the topic of the size, you can choose how you'd like the tail padded, you can request no padded, medium or firm. I currently don't have any peach/pink ears to match but hopefully, in the future I will for the pictures I just put on some pink and blue flower cat ears to tie the outfit together. CollarCollar.com don't currently sell cosplay ears and I don't know if they will in the future but if the store decides to I'll be sure to update this blog with information about them.

Lastly the box, the box is a store extra and it's very sturdy and a lot bigger than expected. The box is what I would call traditional lunch box style in terms of its shape of its flick up to open closing. However, this box isn't plastic it's a storage type of cardboard not sure exactly but I'm a clumsy person and dropped it a few times and no damage ... Yet but as soon as my dog sees it, then it'll probably be chewed apart... The box has gems I believe super glued on, a very strong glue of some kind and there's a range of colors on mine. There are different box styles so you'll have to check out the website for them all. If you want you can also get your name put in the box for that personal touch.

That's all for this blog post right now in a few days I'll have better images taken on my HD camera and will likely add more to this blog post but for now, this is it. The tail cost: £13.95, the choker: £19.95 and the box £9.95. Shipping took 3 days for me as I live in the UK where the company is though from reviews on this store than other countries such as the USA got their items in 10days. Thank you, everyone, for reading this review check out the store at collarcollar.com

TaoBao ring review ~ Neko atsume dress ~ dinosaur kigurumi

Hello everyone! Today I have a review for a company called Taobao ring. This is a unique review because TaobaoRing doesn't actually sell anything... bare with me it'll make sense I promise. There is a website in china called TaoBao which is similar to amazon or Ebay only it's exclusive to china, fun fact when searching the web I found TaoBao can be translated as 'searching for treasure' and there are some real treasure gems on taobao, anyway being exclusive to china only people in china can purchase from the site. Meaning poor little british people like me or...well anyone else anywhere not in china cannot purchase from this site. This is where TaoBaoRing comes in. TaoBaoRing is an agent which orders things from the chinese site, gets it mailed to them and then mailed on to you in which ever country you maybe. I have a whole blog post in the works on how to actually use the site which will be link here > http://amaimint.blogspot.com/2016/06/how-to-order-from-taobao-how-to-use.html < when complete. It's actually kind of hard to explain things to people via blog post, first time I've done it so bare with me, it'll be complete soon. Anyway back to the topic at hand today is a TaoBaoRing review, as in I am reviewing there service. I will review the items a little bit however as the company doesn't sell the items they're be individuals sellers on the actual TaoBao Chinese site it's unfair for me to judge TaoBaoRing the agent on items they don't actually produce. You can see the items down the sides of this blog post.

So firstly the company. Customer service is fantastic, someone of your native language will reply within 24-48 hours I have a Chinese friend contact them and she got a reply in chinese and I messaged them in English, obviously I'm british, and got a british reply. Both of us had very clear language replies as in the language was correct and clearly by someone fluent in the language not just someone in china with broken English. Language to me is extremely important when orderly overseas to non-english speaking countries because if anything were to happen and I had to explain the issue it would be and I know from other TaoBao agents I've used in the past it can be almost impossible to express an issue and reach a resolve if the customer service time have a broken not fluent language.

The process of ordering via TaoBao ring is so easy and quick you get information about order updates constantly with ever single change to the order via email and a notification on the actual TaoBaoRing page. So its not just a case of order then blindly wait for the order which alot of other agents do, which drives me insane I hate not knowing anything because how am I suppose to know where my order is or if it got lost and just you know, I need to know!

TaoBaoRing also offers a 40% discount! no coupon code needed on EMS shipping, which is the most used, most popular and most reliable tracked shipping from (I think most) asian countries. Think the british Parcel force or american UPS only for the non-western side of the world. Another great thing about this company is after placing your order they respond/process to it within 12hours. Also once all the items arrive at TaoBaoRing the items are bundled together so say you order 10 items they'll be put in one strong sturdy box to be mailed. This keeps all items safe, makes them arrive all at the same time and cuts down the shipping cost! Service fee is only 8% of your items total cost which is much lower than the 15-20% fee other agents do, so TaoBaoRing is very cheap.

So now the actual items, now just remember TaoBaoRing does not supply or make the items they are an agent buying items for you from China. Many many companies do these such as SpreePicky they have super cute clothes and charge 30/40USD such as the Neko atsume dress I received. It cost me 10USD and I've found alot of the big kawaii clothes selling companies selling this for 29.99/35USD. Like damn, use TaoBaoRing it's cheaper even with the service fee and shipping via EMS the total is about $20 which is still cheaper than the big kawaii companies.

The neko atsume dress is super cute, the blouse features lots of ruffles with little paw prints on the collar, it's beautiful on it's own but extra cute with the dress which has a little kitty tail on the back and comes with cat ears, two hair bows, one dress bow and a wrist cuff (not pictured, I forgot to wear it, sorry!)  overall I love the dress and it looks really nice with another item I got a cute little silver plated adjustable ring with a four layered lace flower with a faux pearl in the middle, simple, cute and elegant. The ring was actually a free gift with the hair piece I got.

The head piece I purchase for lolita the roses are cream the rest of different tones of Ivory, it was handmade and is great quality, and hey it came in one piece. My friend recommend this item to me but she ordered via a different agent and she said they mailed out via plastic bag and the antlers broke off! Luckily TaoBaoRing packaged everything even clothing in bubble wrap 3-10 layers depending on the item and then puts all items in a very thick cardboard box for minimum damage.

Lastly the final item; dinosaur kigurumi. Kigu's were a very popular fashion trend for just daily wear in early 2000s in japan and they're making a small comeback, I love them so I had to get one and this one cost 12USD super cheap score! It's got a cute dino hood with teeth, spikes down the back, a big plush tail, tightened cuffs to contain heat is made of very soft 1inch pile fabric and features a concealed zipper in the butt area for easy toilet access without taking the entire thing off. So that's everything for this review. I love TaoBaoRing I've ordered from them before I got a limited edition lucky pack that they managed to order just before they ran out because the service is so fast and ah! it's great. I have access to all the amazing cute thing kawaii stores sell but straight from china for super cheap all thanks to TaoBaoRing allowing anyone the ability to order from the chinese exclusive site TaoBao.
